Minka Aire Ceiling Fans

Minka Group is a leader in the decorative lighting industry, but as a designer and manufacturer.  Their lighting lines are sold under the names Minka-Lavery, Metropolitan, Ambience, The Great Outdoors and George Kovacs. They offer a competitive line of ceiling fans under the name “Minka Aire”. Minka Aire ceiling fans offer some of the most impressive designs available. Like most brands they offer three distinct styles of fans: Traditional, Transitional, and Contemporary.

While they offer the most extensive line of transitional fans (transitional fans that are of a more modern design that are yet simple and versatile among a variety of decors), they do not look drastically different from traditional ceiling fans but may be more streamlined, more angular, or composed of materials of a more current style. See ceiling fan decor for more information. They have industry-leading designs available for all decors. Some notable Minka Ceiling Fans are mentioned below:

Traditional Minka Ceiling Fans:

Belcaro Collection – not a ceiling fan, a replica of an ornate Victor Breeze Spreader table/wall floor fan.

Great Room Collection – an impressively large 72″ fan for larger rooms.

Corinthian Collection – elegant old-world design with alabaster housing and wrought iron accents.

Classique Collection – cast ornate motor design inspired by very early ceiling fans.

Transitional Minka Ceiling Fans:

Lineage Collection – angled design with both uplights and downlights

Supra  Collection – simple design with 14 degree blade pitch for increased air movement

Ultra Collection

– similar to Supra with larger size and greater blade pitch

Gyro Wet Collection – unique design with two fans on either end of a central rod, acceptable for wet locations

Gauguin Collection – palm leaf-style blade design with unique bulbous motor and integrated downlight

Contemporary Minka Ceiling Fans:

Minka Aire contemporary fans are so unique in design that they defy description.  Some models to check out are the Artemis,  Samba, Aero, San Francisco, Cirque and the Flyte. Minka also offers two lines of fans called the Concept I and Concept II.  These are streamlined 3 bladed fan designs that use significantly less parts that conventional fans.  Minka claims they require 75% less time to install.  They are available with and without integrated light features.  The Concept II is a Hugger fan design.
